FAQ

Questions we get asked most

Are you accredited?
Intell Safety Solutions was previously accredited by merSETA. We have submitted our QCTO Skills Development Provider accreditation application for the Basic Emergency First Aid Responder skills programme (SP-230801) and it is currently under review. Our workplace safety short courses are provider-based programmes, quality-assured under our own Quality Management System and aligned to national occupational standards. We'll gladly show you our documentation before you book.
Can you train at our site?
Yes. We deliver training at your workplace anywhere in KwaZulu-Natal (further by arrangement), or at our training centre on the Bluff, Durban. For on-site training we only need a room with tables and chairs — we bring everything else.
How many people can you train at once?
Up to 20 learners per group, per facilitator. This keeps the practical work hands-on — everyone practises, nobody just watches. Larger teams are split into multiple groups or days.
What certificate do learners receive?
Learners who pass the assessment receive an ISS Certificate of Competence with a unique certificate number that can be verified with us at any time. Certificates for our provider-based short courses are not credit-bearing on the NQF — they confirm competence against the course outcomes. Once our QCTO accreditation is granted, First Aid learners will receive nationally recognised, credit-bearing certification.
What language is training in?
Training is delivered in English, with isiZulu terminology support built into our learner guides and facilitation. Our trainers make sure every learner understands before moving on.
How much does training cost?
Pricing depends on the course, group size and location. Send us your requirements and we'll quote within one working day — no obligation. Group bookings are priced per group, which usually works out much cheaper per learner.
How far in advance must we book?
One to two weeks' notice is ideal, but talk to us — we can often accommodate urgent bookings, especially for audits, new site start-ups or incident follow-ups.
